Abstract

IMAGE is an EU-funded research project providing European citizens with mobile, personalised, location-based information and services specifically related to transport and tourism. The information and services are web-based and delivered through mobile phones and personal digital assistants (PDAs). Intelligent agent technology was used in an innovative way to construct user profiles. Validation of the IMAGE system and services has now taken place, and the findings are presented in this paper.
