Widely exhibited in Canada, this text represents the first exploration/exhibition of artist Sarindar Dhaliwal's work in the UK. Accompanying the exhibition 'Record Keeping', the book brought together a selection of works produced by the artist over the last 15 years of her practice. It also commissioned original essays by Bernadette Buckley, Sunil Gupta (Director of OVA)/Jan Allen (Curator of Contemporary Arts at the Agnes Etherington Centre, Queen's University, Ontario); by video artist, writer and film-maker Richard Fung and by Janice Cheddie, Research Fellow in Visual Culture at Goldsmiths College. This book/exhibition catalogue was conceived and produced in tandem with this premier of Dhaliwal's work at the John Hansard Gallery, University of Southampton.
