Abstract

This case report describes a hitherto unreported association between temporal cortical dysplasia and rapid cycling bipolar affective disorder in a teaming disabled young man with a family history of rapid cycling bipolar affective disorder in two dysmorphic and learning disabled maternal uncles, and probably learning disability in the mother and grandmother. An identical family with similar findings could not be located in the English literature.
