Students needs are similar in all part of the world so, following the experience of a student dedicated bus service over night in Newcastle upon Tyne, this paper focuses on the planning of a suitable bus service in Palermo, with a different kind of movida and where might produce positive results in term of safety, decrease in road accidents and transfer public transport culture to young generations. Social activities in student life are important, however, movida starts when public transport services usually stops, so the easiest way to meet student needs is often represented by private car usage. Unfortunately this is not the best safety and secure solution to spend an all night out. The proposed bus service connects the university accommodations and the areas in the vicinity of them with the cores of the movida of Palermo. Analysing the potential demand, the minibus service will run seven hours per night during weekdays. Two different routes will guarantee the coverage of the major centres of interest and the service will be reinforced during peak hours as well.
