Abstract

Constructing a certification path is the mainly method of validating a certificate at given time. The established path will consist of all the valid certificates that reside between the target certificate, a public key to be validated, and the trust anchor1 certificate. No standardization has been issued for constructing certification paths which may make the process complex and subject to error, therefore any optimization will significant. In this paper we present a method for constructing a certification path in an efficient manner which is called ATV.
