Abstract

This study compares the use of the Repertory Grid to ascertain constructs from the differing domains of art and design. Four studies are compared, covering abstract art, portraits, pictures of flowers and cutlery. Cognitive, aesthetic and behavioural constructs follow a 6:3:1 pattern of frequency of occurence.
