The Evolution of Crow: Artist as Translator. 66 art works including etchings, digital prints, photographs and collages in response to the co-translations made by Ted Hughes (and the Hungarian speaker Janos Csokits) of the poet János Pilinszky. Abstract

An exhibition of etchings and works on paper made in response to literary texts including Crow, a collection of poems by Ted Hughes, and Hughes' translations of the Hungarian poet Pilinzsky. The prints were displayed alongside specially written scholarly commentaries and archive material from the Ted Hughes Archive held at the Manuscript & Rare Books Library, Emory University.
