Abstract

This paper presents a management information system that analyses assessment methods based on students' module selections. Its aim is to provide a platform on which to evaluate institutional assessment strategies and benchmark these against practice. The results obtained by applying the system to the module selections of undergraduate Business and Management students at the Newcastle University Business School are presented and discussed within the context of the institution's degree rules and regulations, but also in the context of its teaching and learning agenda.
