Difficulties in teaching multi-disciplinary subject in the marine informatics course arise from the gap in experience and skill among staff and students that have different background in mechanical, electrical, naval architecture, marine and offshore engineering. A new curricula model to enhance student learning in marine informatics through problem-based learning (PBL) approach on modelling and simulation of a surface drilling vessel was proposed. It allows the students to have some practical experience in the marine systems modelling and simulation. This paper covers the proposed works that include seminar sessions, weekly works and project presentation to provide holistic assessment on team works as well as individual contributions.
