Abstract

In the paper we discuss one of the largest ever projects on industrial deployment of formal engineering methods called DEPLOY. This 50 months FP7 Integrated Project successfully completed in May 2012, was coordinated by Newcastle University. The paper presents our experience and lessons learnt in building the project consortium, preparing the proposal and running this project. We describe in detail the motivations for the project, its objectives and scientific and technological outcomes. The DEPLOY ecosystem was created by the end of the project to ensure that its results would be widely used, extended and applied after the project end.
