This book is addressed to a range of students who either as part of their curriculum or in addition to it chose to take advantage of the opportunity to be supported by the Young Enterprise Charity to develop and launch their own business whilst studying. Further support material and information can be gained from accessing the Young Enterprise website www.young-enterprise.org.uk. As experienced entrepreneurs know and academic research has taught us, you cannot learn to run a business just from reading a text book. This is the main reason and motivation that drove us to bring to the market an edited book, which will assist and complement students’ experiential learning whilst they are setting up and running their own real life business ventures. Each book chapter has been carefully selected from a plethora of best-seller books already available on the market published by Palgrave Macmillan one of the world’s leading publishers in academic textbooks. The book takes a very practical perspective and aims at providing you with the necessary knowledge and skills in the following areas: creativity and business ideas/opportunities; starting a new venture; working in a team; researching the market; preparing a business plan; learning how to price and distribute your products and services; understanding and tackling business finances; writing a press release and, finally, learning how to use public relations and liaise with the media for the benefit of your company.
