Martyn Hudson looks at the relationship between territory and music and the musical elaboration of landscape in classical music, sound art and traditional music. He shows how theories of musical knowledge from thinkers such as Jean-Luc Nancy and Antoine Hennion can help illuminate questions of knowledge in rural communities of musical practice.
