Notes: This paper explores the dominant ways in which Foucault has been interpreted in management studies, focusing on the largely ignored activist ambitions of his project that provide the context for his work. The implications for 'engaged' critical scholars are considered in a discussion that seeks to define some possible terms for a politics of critical management studies.
