BEACON aims to establish new art and new artists in rural environment. Providing an opportunity for the residents of, and visitors to Lincolnshire to see normally inaccessible heritage sites through innovative visual art activity in an area not well served by such art activity. sense of place : place of sense is the theme for this years BEACON project, a series of commissioned artworks at heritage sites in Lincolnshire. Phyllida Barlow, Gerard Williams, Doug Fishbone, Simon Faithfull and Roxy Walsh were invited to produce work in response to a sense of place at each of 5 historic sites.
