Today amounts of wireless networks have made the ambient radio frequency signals around the world. Wireless information and power transfer make it possible for the devices to cyclically use the energy from these surrounding signals and process information simultaneously. In this paper, we study the wireless information and power transfer protocol using the energy harvesting relay in a two-way amplify-and-forward (AF) scheme. This energy harvesting relay recharges the battery using the energy from the sources, and provides transmission power to forward the received signals. We firstly study the outage probability to evaluate the performance of the system in normal situation. Then we will extend it into outdated channel state information (CSI) scenario. The approximated results are provided to show how the correlation coefficients affect the outage probability under outdated CSI scenarios.
