Abstract

Rapid Charge Network (RCN) is a 7 Million Euros project co-financed by the European Commission with the collaboration of Nissan, BMW, Renault, VW, ESB, ZCF and Newcastle University. The aim of this work is to share some of the insights from RCN on the use of rapid charging posts in the UK and illustrate how they could be extending the driving range of electric vehicles (EVs) and enabling the use of EVs by highmileage drivers. The findings from this work would be used to inform the deployment of rapid charge networks in Europe and beyond
