Aiming at the present problems of the cycloidal gear measurement, a pitch deviation measurement method which is based on OpenCV image processing is put forward. In CCD camera platform, image denoising, background segmentation and edge detection are used to process the image, and the contour coordinates are extracted, and the problem of coordinates' ascription are solved, by using OpenCV functions. Based on the definition of pitch deviation, coordinate system is transformed and the data processing procedure is determined. It is realized the fast and accurate measurement in cycloidal gear pitch deviation.
