© 2014 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved. Human STAT2 deficiency is a rare autosomal recessive disorder of innate immunity, with apparently variable clinical penetrance. It confers unique susceptibility to viral infection, including vaccine strain measles, by preventing the normal transcriptional response to innate interferon.
