Abstract

© Springer-Verlag London 2014.This case describes dissection of the origin of the SMA during cannulation for transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) procedure. Techniques to overcome this situation and restore flow are discussed as well as schematic diagrams illustrating the flow dynamics in a dissection.
