Circumferential balloon rupture and retained fragments during fistuloplasty and thrombolysis of a thrombosed fistula

Abstract

© Springer-Verlag London 2014.This case illustrates management of a thrombosed dialysis fistula. During this process an angioplasty balloon ruptured circumferentially leaving part of the balloon within the fistula. Successful retrieval of the balloon fragment is outlined.
