Abstract

This book communicates how to create an embedded system from initial concepts to modelling and simulation, creating a graphical-user interface, and doing the actual implementation. The author proposes new solutions for the prototyping, simulation, testing, and deployment of real-time systems using standard PC hardware. The xPC Target can be seen in a wide range of applications from automotive system design, process control, vibration control, control engineering education to the robotic systems such as URVs. Other target environments are presented such as conventional-based design using Linux-based operating system and the use of PIC-Microchip, Arduino and Raspberry PI on standalone solar tracker, magnetic levitation system, robotic vehicle, fouling recognition system, and other remote monitoring systems.
