Abstract

This article outlines the seven risks to cultural property in the event of armed conflict and suggests that planning to reduce each risk must take place in peacetime, long before the conflict takes place. It stresses that reducing each individual risk lowers the overall risk to cultural property and that such action may contribute to military mission success.
