In the towns located in the area of Galeras volcano, man’s relationship with the environment has become so dangerous, and it is necessary to change the population’s passive mind about this habitat at risk, using the same meanings andpractices. The government has in their hands the emergency attention and the definitive relocation process.It is necessary to make a negotiation with the population that implies settling-in grants, improving the conditions of the temporary shelters, but the most important is to convince the population about relocating to a safe place and look for another kind of job, for instance: Echo – tourism.
