© 1970-2012 IEEE.Rapid growth and evolution in the number, functionalities, and scope of Internet of Things devices is evident. We present osmotic computing as a new paradigm able to respond to resource heterogeneity, secure data exchange, and efficient microservices deployment across federated cloud systems.
