Abstract

A novel quasi-Z-source inverter with Coupled Inductor technique is proposed in this paper. The boost ability of the proposed topology is enhanced compared to classic Zsource/quasi-Z-source topologies. The proposed topology provides a common mode ground with dc source, continuous input current, reduced voltage and current stress on active and passive components. Better energy utilization and suppressed inrush current are achieved by employing coupled inductor cells. Analytical and simulation results are presented to explore the advantages of the proposed design
