El proyecto CALIBRE 16. toma por punto de partida la deconstrucción implícita en el desarme, entendido este término no sólo como retirar o deponer la metralla de una población, sino también en la idea de que restar funcionalidad a una máquina cuyo diseño responde exclusivamente a un principio letal anima la invención de herramientas culturales en donde el impacto simbólico afecte el consenso de la realidad. CALIBRE 16 is a project which takes as a starting point the decontronstruction of desarmament. The idea is to take away the functionality of the machine which its design responds exclusively to the principal of a lethal weapon and where the artists look into cultural tools to affect the simbolic impact of the objects reality. Sixteen artist take a part that constitutes the weapon into an artefact that recreates and replaces the idea of a gun.
