Abstract

A transcription of an hour-long interview with Paul Attinello, outlining the intersections between his research, his Jungian studies, and his long personal experience of the AIDS epidemic. Along with insights, memories and links between psychoanalytic theory and the extreme experiences of a health crisis, he explains core findings of his current research - thus the link between deep archetypal images and fears of illness, infection, and death, their links to cultural complexes and social politics, and the need for psychological professionals to be aware of the highly charged material involved.
