Knit:Design:Research challenges the boundaries conventionally associated with knitting both as a technique and a product. There is a shift away from defining textiles by application, instead knitting is positioned as a way of thinking, where processes and materiality become a unique way to encounter people, place, science, and culture and is situated in a deep understanding of the textile in materials, process and technology.
