Abstract

Success in business was fundamental to the creative life of William Morris. This chapter reviews his accomplishments in this domain and relates his business success to his wider intellectual and artistic project. The chapter is one of 16 chapters of a superbly crafted edited book with 660 illustrations produced to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the death of Britain's greatest designer.
