The NUiS RII strategy aims to contribute to the development of SIT's Applied Research and to develop a new Collaborative Agreement with them. The strategy aims to grow NewRIIS for building collaborative research projects with researchers in Singapore's universities and local industries. NewRIIS is also planned to be developed as a regional SE ASIA Hub for the University, allowing UK-based academics to engage with academics within Singapore and the region. Collaboration is key to getting involved in well-funded projects and for research outputs and impact to contribute to the REF through UK-based collaborators. The NUiS RII strategy was developed based on an understanding of the unique challenges faced in Singapore and the current opportunities available.
