Abstract

© Energynautics GmbH. Global warming, pollution accompanied by energy crisis has called for electrification of the transport sector. With the acceleration of the electrification process of automobiles, the field of heavy-duty trucks has also produced models whose driving capabilities are completely powered by electricity. From the perspective of current freight transportation, road transportation is the main mode of transportation in China's transportation field. Therefore, the efficient supply of energy is an important part of promoting the development of China's electric heavy truck industry. Comprehensive coverage of electric heavy truck charging and swapping stations is a key condition for realizing the commercialization and industrialization of electric heavy trucks. However, although China has initially formed a public charging network that can serve the whole country, there are still problems such as unreasonable location and layout of charging and swapping stations, and the built charging and swapping facilities are not suitable for electric heavy trucks. This paper aims to study the charging needs of a city called Chengdu in the context of electric heavy-duty trucks. We have used the case study of a logistics company of Chengdu which has electric heavy-duty trucks for transporting wastes from construction sites to dump sites.
