The adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) is constrained by high energy consumption and lengthy charging times. This article proposes a Smart Microgrid (SMG) for an enclosed Dynamic Road Charging Station (DRCS) as a sustainable, weatherproof alternative. By combining roof-mounted solar panels, wind turbines and braking energy recovery of neighbouring railways, SMG-DRCS is a feasible strategy for large-scale EV adoption. As a scalable alternative to many static fast chargers, DRCS reduces urban congestion while ensuring grid stability and sustainability. The study explores its feasibility using energy demand analysis, DRCS modelling and providing experimental validation for the SMG's load management capabilities.
