Abstract

© 2025 Oxford University Press. All rights reserved. Patients with chronic kidney disease often present with a family burden of disease. However, efficient collection and documentation of family history can be challenging in clinical practice. In this article, we provide 10 practical tips to support clinicians in obtaining family history information, with the goal of improving pre-stratification for genetic testing and guiding renal risk counselling for index patients and their relatives.
