Abstract

The dataset is based on a radio-echo sounding (RES) survey conducted in March – April 2024 on Storglaciären, northern Sweden, along with subsequent data analysis. It contains:I. Point values of RES-measured ice thickness.II. Glacier-wide gridded ice-thickness and corresponding uncertainty, derived by combining RES-measured ice thickness and ice-thickness modelling.III. Glacier-wide gridded bed topography and filtered bed topography, obtained by subtracting gridded ice-thickness from gridded surface elevation.Storglaciären is one of Sweden’s four so-called reference glaciers (glaciers for which more than 30 years of continuous measurements are available) included in the World Glacier Monitoring Service (WGMS) database. The surface mass balance series for Storglaciären is also the World’s longest detailed one.
