Abstract

This special issue (SI) invites studies that provide theoretical and empirical evidence on the relationships among climate governance, climate change, environmental issues, green innovation, and green investment policies (e.g., green bond, climate governance to achieve sustainability in terms of lowering agency costs and bringing better value for stakeholders). Papers included in this SI may focus on finding new evidence on climate change, ecological innovation, and diffusion concerning governance and investment policies in non-financial firms and banks. Others may look into the new environmentally responsive technologies. These aim to increase public awareness and concerns about environmental damage and suggest alternative financial solutions. A critical comparison among unexpected events is also encouraged as it is essential to understand the differences in policies, behaviour, and how businesses and banks deal with environmental issues through innovative ideas. International samples and creative topics are particularly desirable.
