Abstract

This dataset contains raw and processed radio-echo sounding (RES) data collected on 2024-03-12 and 2024-04-20 on Storglaciären, northern Sweden. The data can be used to derive estimates of the ice thickness.RES surveys were conducted at high spatial density, covering most of the glacier surface. The total length of the RES survey profiles is 82.5 km.Storglaciären is one of Sweden’s four so-called reference glaciers (glaciers for which more than 30 years of continuous measurements are available) included in the World Glacier Monitoring Service (WGMS) database. The surface mass balance series for Storglaciären is also the World’s longest detailed one.
