An apathetic landslide: The British Election of 2001

Abstract

Written in the aftermath of the 2001 British general election, this article essayed an initial overview of the campaign and its significance. The article suggests that although 'it was the election after the one before', the campaign did witness a considerable evolution of the policy agenda as the discousre on public services matured from a focus on spending to a concern with delivered quality.
