Notes: An invited one person exhibition of new work in which the issue of how the past is evidenced and experienced in the present is applied to the landscape. The paintings shown examined echoes of events manifest within these open spaces and the hold they have on the imagination. The imagery ranges from a series of transient icebergs to a singular, static, white tree. The emphasis on the passage of time is evident through the choice of imagery: the narrative implied by the juxtraposition of specific images, as well as the tangible sense of accumulated time being embedded within the suface of each painting through the particular method in which they are made.
