Abstract

In this paper, the use of concatenated coding for reliable data transmission over flat nonfrequency-selective Rayleigh fading channels is presented. The system combines space-time block codes with high gain low-density parity-check codes as an outer code. The average bit error rate performance is analyzed and compared with the performance of classic space-time codes and new space-time ring TCM codes, surpassing them at some signal-to-noise ratios.
