Abstract

The purpose of this deliverable is to present the final version of the DSoS Conceptual Mode, which was first presented in deliverable BC1 and revised in deliverable IC1. There are two major advances compared with IC1. First, in Section 3 (Concepts) we have continued to develop the existing concepts, and have introduced and related some important new concepts for the definition and dependability of systems of systems. Secondly, Section 5 (Formalization) has been largely re-written. it assesses the utility of existing formal frameworks for the description of SoSs and the verification of their dependability, and it provides an overview of various formal approaches to verification that thave been investigated and developed within the DSoS Project.
