Abstract

Structural models for the incorporation of metal atoms into layered dichalcogenides, ME2, are provided by two series of isostructural hybrid organic-inorganic supramolecular assemblies based on cucurbituril adducts of incomplete cuboidal aqua cluster complexes of molybdenum and tungsten, and heterometallic corner-shared double cube derivatives. The picture illustrates the structure of the assembly [{[Mo3Se4(H2O)7Cl2]2Hg}(C36H36N24O12)](n)/(4n+).
