Abstract

Various self orthogonalizing transform schemes were developed, including block singular value decomposition (SVD) based Karhunen-Loeve transform (KLT). The methods were applied to equalization problems for communication signals in low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and multipath channels. The KLT-SVD preprocessor precedes a conventional least mean square adaptive filtering algorithm.
