Abstract

The viscosity an self-diffusion coefficients, along with the generalized cross sections that enter the description of the viscomagnetic effect, was calculated for carbon dioxide. As such, the calculations was performed in the dilute-gas limit and in the temperature range from 200 K to 1500 K, by means of the classical trajectory method. The calculations performed indicate that the contributions of the second-order viscosity approximation and of the Kagan-Afanasev approximation were small, both of the order of <1%, over the whole temperature range studied.
