Abstract

The title compound, (CH3CNLiOC6H5) 4 or [Li4(C6H5O)4-(C 2H3N)4], is tetrameric with a distorted Li 4O4 cube core. The molecule has crystallographic 4̄ symmetry. Each Li atom has distorted tetrahedral coordination, with bonds to three triply bridging phenoxo ligands and a terminal acetonitrile ligand derived from the solvent in the synthesis. © 2003 International Union of Crystallography Printed in Great Britain - all rights reserved.
