Abstract

The synthesis of a ditopic 2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine ligand and bis-ruthenium(II) complex is described which incorporates in its molecular backbone a light-activated spiropyran moiety. © 2003 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
