Revalidation: The purpose needs to be clear

Abstract

From 1 January 2005 every UK doctor will need a license to practise. Most doctors will be able to secure revalidation of their licence by annual appraisal and by showing that they are compliant with local clinical governance requirements and free of any serious unresolved concerns about their fitness to practise.
