Abstract

A generic framework for empirical process data modelling is proposed. It covers the tasks of data collection through to data analysis, data exploration, model development, validation and prediction, on-line operation and model up-dating. The system is applied to an industrial application, the prediction of mechanical properties of hot strip rolled steel.
