Abstract

The oceanographic phenomena was analyzed using a new Unesco-Bilko teaching module. The Bilko system consists of the Bilko software, tutorials, a series of thematic lessons on different applications of remote sensing, a network of users and lesson producers. Bilko supports common image formats such as Envisat-N1, HDF, NetCDF, GeoTIFF, and USGS Mapgen formats. Bilko can handle up to 64 linked images, a capability that may be used to open from multiband sensors, or a time series of images.
