Broadband Fixed Wireless Access (BFWA) is a technology that offers high speed voice, video and data services for the "last mile". The main advantage of BFWA systems over its wired counterparts is its increased capacity and ease of deployment. However, Broadband Fixed Wireless Access (BFWA) channel introduces Inter-symbol Interference (ISI) to the transmitted signal which deteriorates the overall system performance. In this paper, we show that equalisation with LDPC decoding scheme can be utilized to reduce the effect of ISI which in turns improves the performance of BFWA system.
