Abstract

A new angucyclinone antibiotic, frigocyclinone, was isolated from Streptomyces griseus strain NTK 97, consisting of a tetrangomycin moiety attached through a C-glycosidic linkage with the aminodeoxysugar ossamine. Frigocyclinone showed antibacterial activities against Gram-positive bacteria. © Japan Antibiotics Research Association.
